Midnight Pass is Open Again After 40 Years—Let’s Celebrate with a Marine Debris Clean-Up!
For the first time in four decades, Midnight Pass has reopened, and we invite you to celebrate this milestone by giving back to the environment! Join us for a marine debris clean-up and explore the stunning beauty of this historic pass.
We’re calling on volunteers to help clean up the land, water, and mangroves surrounding Midnight Pass, Turtle Beach, and the Jim Neville Marine Preserve. Your efforts will play a crucial role in maintaining Sarasota Bay’s water quality, preserving wildlife habitats, and documenting the effects of recent hurricanes on waterway debris.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference, enjoy the outdoors, and involve the whole family!
How You Can Help:
Boater: Collect debris while cruising the waterways.
Kayaker: Paddle through tight spots and mangrove areas to gather litter.
Beach Walker: Explore the shoreline while removing trash.
Shoreline Assistant: Help sort, weigh, and document debris collected by others.
Whether you’re on land or water, your participation makes a difference. Let’s come together as a community to protect and restore the beauty of Midnight Pass and its surrounding areas. Join us and be a part of this meaningful effort to safeguard our environment!
