Mote Marine Laboratory’s 39th Annual Run for the Turtles will be held on Saturday, April 5th, 2025! But there are 3 levels of participation.  Any of our members are of course encouraged to attend on the designated date in the 1-Mile Fun Run or Walk or the 5K Manasota Track Club – Sanctioned Run.

OR…..join us on Tuesday on the Island where we can, as a club, complete our own virtual Fun Run / Walk (which will be mostly walking out to the beach for sunset….but still parting with a purpose!)!  We encourage our members to join this great cause, get your t-shirt, and make sure you verify with the Board that you DID register and we can count this as a charity event for the club (and count the attendees and hours!).

Mote Marine Laboratory’s 39th Annual Run for the Turtles Virtual Fun Run or Walk may also be completed now through April 6, 2025 at your leisure. Virtual participants will receive a race t-shirt in the mail at the physical address submitted during the event registration process. Your t-shirt may be shipped up to 60 days after April 6, 2025.

The schedule of events for the actual race day is as follows:

6:30AM – Packet pick up & race day registration opens
7:00AM – Warm Up!
7:30AM – 1 Mile Fun Run
8:00AM – 5K Run sanctioned by Manasota Track Club
Award ceremony to follow 5K

This Run is the major fundraiser for the Sea Turtle Conservation & Research Program at Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium.

Adults (14 & Up):

$35 Early Bird Pricing through January 1, 2025
$40 Regular Pricing January 1 – April 5, 2025

Kids (13 & Under):

$25 Early Bird Pricing through January 1, 2025
